The best way to help your child be successful in school is to read to your child every day! Talk about the parts of a book, ask questions about the story while reading, and practing moving over the words with your finger to model directionality.

About Mrs. Gatewood

     Hi My name is Cheryll Gatewood! This is my 8th year teaching here at Regency Park Elementary. I taught third grade for four years, and now I am teaching Kindergarten. I attended CSU Chico for my B.A. in Child Development and attended CSU Sacramento  to attain my Teaching Credential. I love my job and can not imagine doing anything else. I enjoy working with our amazing staff and all of our Regency Park families.

     I am happily married to my husband Garrett and I have two handsome boys named Owen and Jacob. They are  my pride and joy. I love being a mother. It is so fun to watch my little guys learn new things and take them on adventures. I also enjoy scrapbooking,cooking, movies, and reading various genres of books. My personal book collection has become into more of a library! Thank you for taking the time to check out my webpage. I hope you all have a great school year.
