We Are Asking Our Fathers (father figures) to Join Our School Day Program

WATCH D.O.G.S. (Dads of Great Students) is a father involvement initiative of the National Center for Fathering that organizes fathers and father figures in order to provide positive male role models for our students and enhance school safety.  Regency Park has added this program to our school in order to help improve student achievement through increasing parent involvement, developing improved parent knowledge of our school's mission/programs and providing addition support to our students during the school day.

Our kick-off event was a great success.  Nearly 100 dads (father figures) came to the Pizza Night Kick-off Event in October of '09.  Besides eating nearly 55 pizzas supllied by our P.T.A., our dads received an overview of the program and had an opportunity to sign-up for a day of service at our school site during the school year.

How can I sign-up to participate?  Please stop by the school office and pick-up a registration form and submit it when completed.  Once submitted you will contact either Jackie Lopez (jacqueline.lopez@twinriversusd.org)  or Jennifer Ekelund (jennifer.ekelund@twinriversusd.org) to schedule a day of service at the school.  We are asking dads to come for at least one day during the year.
